Entangle Terms of Use

Effective date: 3 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Qbitwise ("Qbitwise", "we") for the Entangle apps for iPhone, Mac and Android ("Entangle"). On the App Store, Entangle is called "Stay Entangled". By tapping "Agree and continue" on the first screen, or by using the app, you accept these terms.

1. Who may use Entangle

You must be at least 18 years old and able to accept these terms.

2. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

Entangle has public chats with people you do not know. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, send or share anything that:

• harasses, threatens, bullies, stalks or intimidates anyone;
• is hateful or discriminatory, or incites violence;
• is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
• is illegal, or promotes illegal activity, including the sale of illegal goods;
• is spam, fraud or impersonation, or contains malware;
• shares other people's private information without their consent.

You must not use Entangle to break the law, including radio regulations when you use an E-Node.

3. Filtering, blocking and reporting

• Entangle hides messages that contain objectionable words in public chats, and blurs photos from people you have not verified until you tap them. The filter is on by default; you can change it in Settings.
• You can block any person from one of their messages or from their profile. Their messages then stop reaching you.
• You can report a message or a person from the same menu. Reporting hides the message, blocks the sender on your device and prepares an email to us with the details.
• We review every report within 24 hours. Entangle has no central server, so we cannot delete messages from other people's phones. When a report is upheld, we ask the operators of the relays that carry the content to remove it, and we take any other measure available to us, such as blocking the identity in a future version of the app.

4. Your content

You are responsible for what you send. Public Near Field messages, location channel messages and location notes can be seen, copied and kept by anyone who receives them and by independent relay operators, and may not be deletable. Think before you post.

5. Not an emergency service

Entangle depends on nearby phones, radios and networks that may not be there. Do not rely on it in an emergency; contact your local emergency services.

6. E-Node radios

An E-Node is separate hardware. You are responsible for using it only where and how local radio law allows.

7. Third-party services

Nostr relays, the Tor network, and any links or wallets you open are run by third parties under their own terms. Qbitwise does not control them and is not responsible for them.

8. Licence

Qbitwise grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Entangle on devices you own or control, as the App Store or Google Play terms allow.

9. No warranty; limitation of liability

Entangle is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Qbitwise is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for lost or delayed messages, or for content posted by other users.

10. Apple

If you got Entangle from the App Store: these terms are between you and Qbitwise, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple is not responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims. To the extent the law allows, Apple's only obligation if the app fails to conform to a warranty is to refund its purchase price, which is zero. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. government embargo and not on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11. Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change is material, the app will ask you to accept the terms again. You can stop using Entangle at any time by deleting it. We may stop offering the app.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
